การวิจัยเรื่องการออกแบบพัฒนาแบบตัวพิมพ์และโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ฟ้อนต์ตระกูลซีอาร์ยูในครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) เพื่อออกแบบพัฒนาแบบชุดตัวอักษรและตัวพิมพ์ภายใต้ระบบอัตลักษณ์แบบตัวอักษรทางการพิมพ์ชุดตระกูลซีอาร์ยู ให้มีแม่แบบ น้ำหนัก และรูป แบบที่หลากหลาย ให้เหมาะสมตามระบบมาตรฐานการพิมพ์ภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ 2) เพื่อจัดทำไฟล์รูปแบบและน้ำหนักโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ฟ้อนต์ตระกูลซีอาร์ยู เป็นไฟล์มาตรฐานสากล ที่มีลิขสิทธิ์ถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย สามารถใช้ติดตั้งร่วมใช้งานในโปรแกรมระบบ ปฏิบัติการคอมพิวเตอร์ แบบเชิงพาณิชย์ และโปรแกรมระบบปฏิบัติการคอมพิวเตอร์แบบโอเพนซอร์สได้ ซึ่งกระบวนการศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้ เป็นการวิจัยพัฒนาทดลอง โดยมีการดำเนินงานเป็น 2 ระยะคือ ก.การออกแบบและพัฒนาต้นแบบตัวอักษร ตามหลักการดำเนินงานออกแบบ 3ส:3R คือ 1) การสืบค้น (Research) 2) การสร้างสรรค์ตามสมมติฐาน (Resume) และ3) การสรุปผลงาน (Results) ข.ขั้นตอนการพัฒนาโปรแกรมระบบงานคอมพิวเตอร์ โดยมีขั้นตอนคือ 1) กำหนดรายละเอียดของความต้องการของผู้ใช้ระบบงาน 2) วิเคราะห์ระบบงานหรือปัญหารวมถึงรายละเอียดข้อมูลที่ต้องใช้ 3) ออกแบบโปรแกรม 4) เขียนชุดคำสั่ง 5) การทดสอบโปรแกรมและหาข้อผิดพลาด และ6) นำโปรแกรมและระบบงานไปใช้งานจริง โดยมีเครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ 1) แบบสัมภาษณ์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ และ2) แบบสอบถามแบบประเมินค่า 5 อันดับ โดยมีกลุ่มประชากรที่ใช้คือกลุ่มผู้ที่มีความรู้ด้านการออกแบบตัวอักษรและตัวพิมพ์ ผู้ที่สามารถใช้งานโปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ฟ้อนต์ได้โดยตรง โดยการสุ่มแบบเจาะจงเลือก และการสุ่มเลือกแบบบังเอิญ รวมจำนวน 105 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์ และการสอบถามความคิดเห็น สถิติที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลได้แก่ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

Abstract
The research objective is 1) to design and develop font and typeface design of CRU-fonts family that has the proper template , styles and weights in standard type in English and Thai typing system. 2) To make the styles and weights of CRU- Fonts family to be the standard file and copyrights. By installation, it can be used in commercial operating systems and open source operating systems. This research methodology includes a descriptive research which operates in two stages. The first step is the design and development of the font family based on 3R principles: Research, Resume and Results. The second step is the development of a computer program from 6 steps: Requirements, Analysis, Design, Coding, Testing, Debugging and Gaining consent from creatives and designers. The third step is an examination of the hypothesis which was designed and developed by the associated considerations of participants from design focus groups. Research tools are interviewed and questionnaire. The population was a group of corporate identity design experts from external and a group of stakeholders of Chandrakasem Rajabhat University. A specific selection of 105 data entries was collected by direct interview, questionnaire, and online questionnaires. For data analysis, the statistics included percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The completion of the research phase resulted in the development of the CRU - font family which has good typographic features and consists of a set of unique typefaces for Chandrakasem Rajabhat University. It consists of four typefaces: CRU-ChandJarus 56, CRU-Chandra 56, CRU-Chandrakasem 56, and CRU-LanChand 56 with CRU-Fonts Family End User License Agreement (CRU-EULA). These four CRU-font family types have 24 font types and 24 styles and weights. The font family is available in three types: TrueType, OpenType and WebFont for 72 files in total. All of the types presented as a standard corporate graphic identity manual for Chandrakasem Rajabhat University along with CRU Fonts Family End User License Agreement (CRU-EULA) in four copies, attached to a DVD recorded all the original files that can be used and installed in the computer font system which is informed the CRU Fonts Family End User License Agreement (CRU- EULA) in personal , non-profit organization and the commercial usage.
